At the weekend I joined lots of lovely Birmingham bloggers for a fabulous afternoon tea at Hotel La Tour. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon – sipping champagne, indulging on cakes and scones, and listening to some great live music whilst we chatted about everything food-related!
I’ve reviewed the afternoon tea at Hotel La Tour twice before (here and the festive one here) because it’s SO good that I can’t stop coming back again and again! So I won’t go into too much detail this time, but suffice to say it lived up to its high standards on this trip too.
New additions this time included a wider range of teas, such as a Jasmine tea and a Mango and Strawberry tea amongst other interesting sounding flavours. Whilst the seasonally changing dessert menu consisted of a Lime and Ginger Cheesecake (delicious and so light!), a Raspberry and Mascarpone Tartlets (perfect pastry!), Banana and Chocolate Macaroon and Gateux Opera on this occasion.
As always the highlight was the amazing Welsh Rarebit with Bread Soldiers!!
Along with their fantastic, yummy scones too!
For only £19.95, the afternoon tea at Hotel La Tour is worth every penny as the quality is consistently fantastic, every item is delicious and you get so much for your money! I couldn’t recommend it enough and it still remains to be the best afternoon tea I’ve had in Birmingham.
Disclosure: I was invited to the Blogger’s Afternoon Tea at Hotel La Tour by Ed James, and all food and drinks were complimentary. However I wasn’t required to write a review – I just love the afternoon tea here so much that I wanted to shout about it again!
